What is LPG fuel?

What is LPG? Its full name is Liquefied Petroleum Gas, a colorless, volatile liquid obtained by pressurizing and cooling natural gas or petroleum.

The main components of LPG are one or two of propane, propylene, butane and butene, and it is also mixed with a small amount of pentane, and trace sulfide impurities.

Propane has a boiling point of -42 and is therefore a particularly useful light fuel. This means that even at very low temperatures, propane can vaporize immediately after being released from a high-pressure vessel. It does not require much equipment to vaporize it and mix it with air. Butane has a boiling point of about -0℃ and does not vaporize at very low temperatures. Therefore, butane has limited use and needs to be mixed with propane rather than used alone. LPG, which consists of propane and butane, is therefore a clean source of energy. It has the advantages of high calorific value, no soot, no carbon residue, easy to operate and use, etc. Therefore, it is widely used in people's daily life and industrial production.

However, LPG is also explosive and flammable, toxic and liquid, and can be dangerous if we use it improperly or operate it incorrectly.

LPG is usually supplied in pipelines, distribution tankers and bottles.

①Pipeline supply: the gasified LPG is supplied to customers through pipelines.

②Distribution tanker supply: supply of LPG to customers by vehicle tanker.

③Bottled Supply: LPG is supplied to users by filling cylinders with LPG. LPG cylinders are thin-walled pressure vessels with different specifications from one country to another. And to keep the safety of you and your family, it will be better to choose big brand, good quality and guaranteed cylinders.

Every coin has two sides, and so does LPG. When enjoying the benefits of LPG to us, it is also important to pay attention to safety and use norms and it is more important to choose the best lpg cylinders.
